FAQs

-Can I share files with non-Yuntaa members?

Of course, we even encourage it. You can send a hyperlink to your webpage to anyone you want via the Yuntaa File Manager. The addressee cannot process the page, just view it.

-What is Yuntaa’s position on copyright?

Yuntaa endeavours to adhere to international copyright legislation. We also expect our members to refrain from violations. Naturally, you can save films and music on Yuntaa. As long as you do not share these types of files under Public Files, there is no problem.

For further guidelines look under Terms of Use.

-Do you check whether files contain inappropriate material?

What you save on Yuntaa is completely private. We do not check any private files. However, when you share material publicly this is filtered. Inappropriate and illegal items are removed.

The term 'inappropriate' is open to interpretation of course. What is inappropriate for one person is not for someone else. To eliminate all doubt, we provide a brief summary of items that are inappropriate for public sharing:

pornographic or sexually explicit material
images and documentation about dangerous or illegal activities (e.g. making a bomb)
images and videos of violence, killing or distasteful behaviour to living beings
content that encourages hate of a certain ethnic group, gender or religious belief (approved documentaries, historical texts and educational material are naturally permitted)
material covered by copyright, such as films and music

When someone expresses his concern about certain content, we will check whether this is justified. If this is actually the case, we immediately request the removal of the relevant file in Yuntaa from the Public Files. If the Yuntaa member does not react to our request, his account will be removed. This person is then no longer welcome on the Yuntaa site. In the event of illegal activities we will inform the authorities.

-Why won't my video play in Yuntaa?

Our website converts the following video formats for playing online.
Video: .avi, .dv, .mov/.qt, .mpeg, .mp4, .3gp, .asf/.wmv,flv
Audio: .mp3, .wav, .wma, QCELP, AMR-NB.

Videos of other formats can be stored on Yuntaa, but may not be well converted to play online.
